MTV VMAs 2013: Best and Worst Dressed

Hola a todos, al fin tenemos nuevo post y en esta ocasión quiero mostrarles quienes para mi fueron algunas de las mejores y peores vestidas de los MTV VMAs, que se realizaron el domingo pasado en Nueva York.

Hi all, finally we have a new post on the blog and in this occasion I want to show you who, for me, were some of the best and worst dressed of the night of the MTV VMAs, in New York last Sunday.

Best Dressed:

Selena Gomez by Versace:

Vestido: me gusto el largo, el color, que sea bien ceñido al cuerpo y de manga larga. Si bien muestra piel, con el escote que muestra su ropa interior y el tajo eterno, creo que queda muy sexy, sin exagerar, creo que distinto hubiese sido si no hubiese tenido las mangas.

Peinado: Me parece que también acerto, el pelo suelto al costado es la tendencia de esta temporada y queda bien en todas, ya sea lacio o con ondas. 

Maquillaje: La maquilladora logro que los labios y el delineado queden armoniosos, sin que parezca una pintada como una puerta.

Dress: I like it was a long dress, well fit to the body and that has long sleeves. Although she showed some skin with that neckline showing her sexy underwear and that eternal leg cut. She was very sexy, without exaggerating, it would have been different if the dress hadn´t long sleeves.
Hairstyle: Great choice. The loose hair on the side is the trend this season and looks good in all women, either straight or with waves.
Make Up: The makeup artist achieved that the lips and eyes remain harmonious, without looking like a painted door.

Allison Williams by Valentino:

Vestido: Aunque minimalista, ya que era un vestido simple de mangas largas, eso fue lo que me gusto, cuando la vi pense le tomo cinco minutos cambiarse e igualmente estaba preciosa. El largo de las mangas y el del vestido para mi tenian la medida justa. 

Pelo: Le quedaba perfecto el pelo atado en un chignon con un poco de volumen ya que el escote del vestido le llegaba a la mitad de su cuello.

Maquillaje: Resalto los ojos y mantuvo la boca nude. Muy linda. 

Dress: Although minimalist, as it was a simple dress with long sleeves, that's what I like, when I saw it I thought it took her five minutes to get dressed and still looked beautiful. The length of the sleeves and the dress for me had the right measure. 

Hairstyle: Tied it in a chignon with a bit of volume. It fit perfect as the neckline of the dress reached to the middle of his neck. 

Make Up: The make up artist highlighted the eyes and the mouth remained nude. Super cute.

Ciara by Givenchy

Vestido: Largo, blanco y transparente. Totalmente bordado y con plumas desde la rodilla a los pies, estaba bellisima. Si bien era un vestido cargado por las plumas y el bordado quedaba todo junto muy armonioso. 

Pelo: Lo usó suelto con unas ondas muy poco marcadas. No estaba mal, quizas yo hubiese decidido atarlo en un chignon.

Maquillaje: La maquilladora también decidio resaltar los ojos con un delineado y mantener la boca completamente nude.

Dress: Long, white and transparent. Fully embroidered with feathers from knee to foot, she was gorgeous. While the dress was all along by feathers and embroidery it was very harmonious.

Hairstyle: She wear a loose hair with non marked waves. Maybe I´d have choose tied it in a chignon.

 Make Up: The makeup artist also decided to highlight the eyes and keep her mouth completely nude.

Taylor Swift by Hervé Léger by Max Azria

Vestido: Simple aunque con un escote super sexy, el color azul noche estaba muy lindo y le sentaba bien a su color de piel. Bien ajustado a su cuerpo Me gustó mucho verla con un look más maduro y sofisticado y ya no tan aniñado. Creo que acertó. 

Pelo: No me gustaron sus rulos, creo que un chignon bajo u ondas un poco más grandes le hubieran sentado mejor. 

Maquillaje: Me gusto que resalto los ojos con un delineado intenso y la boca con un rojo también llamativo pero quedo bien armónico. 

Dress: Simple although with an incredible neck line, super sexy, the blue night color was super nice and looked great with her skin color. Well fit to her body. I really like to see her with a much more madure look and not so childish. She hit it. 

Hairstyle: I did´t like her vintage waves, I think a chignon or bigger waves would have been better. 

Make Up: I like she highlighted the eyes with an intense line and the mouth with an intense red also. Looked very harmonic.

Joan Smalls by Viktor & Rolf.

Vestido: Me gustó que eligió un modelo blanco, suelto y corto con mangas recogidas, a diferencia de la mayoria que lo eligieron largo y ceñido.

Pelo: Simple y con raya al medio detras de las orejas, gran acierto. 

Maquillaje: Me encantaron los labios oscuros manteniendo los ojos delineados pero tranquilos. 

Dress: I liked that she choose a white, loose and short model with the sleeves rolled up making a difference because most of the celebrities chose to wear long and tight.

Hair: Simple parted in the middle and behind the ears, perfect. 

Make Up: I absolutely love the dark lips keeping the eyes with a simple trace.

Worst Dressed:

 

Miley Cirus by Dolce & Gabbana: Creo que el outfit no era el adecuado para el evento, piedras, crop top, calzas?. En que pensaba?. Los rodetes eran simplemente horribles, muy de los 90, me hizo acordar a las Spice Girls, excepto que en ese momento los rodetes se usaban y a ellas les quedaban bien. En lo que más acerto para mi fue en el maquillaje, resalto la boca con un rojo super lindo y mantuvo los ojos más tranquilos.

Miley Cirus by Dolce & Gabbana: I think it wasn´t the correct outfit for that event, rhinestones, crop top and lycra pants?. What was she thinking?. The bun in the sides were simply horrible, very 90s, made me go back to the Spice Girls, except that in that time those bun sides were a hit and look very pretty on them. What I think she choose the best was the make up, highlighted the mouth with a really nice red and keep the eyes simple.

Katy Perry by Emanuel Ungaro: Demasiado animal print, el tajo me parece que esta demas y las plumas bueno, demasiado. La colita alta me parece que estuvo bien, fue una buena opción de acuerdo al vestido que eligió y el maquillaje también, creo que fue en lo que más acertó. En este caso resaltó los ojos y mantuvo la boca más tranquila. 

Katy Perry by Emanuel Ungaro: Too much animal print, the slit was out of place, and the feathers are too much. The high pony tail was a correct choice for the dress she choose and the make up was correct too. In this case she choose to highlight the eyes and keep the mouth simple.

Erin Wasson by Alexander Vaultier: Qué estaba pensando cuando decidió usar ese vestido, no tengo idea!.  Es como si no tuviese que ponerse y encontro un poco de tela transparente y se lo puso y salio. Horrible!. El turbante tampoco me gusto, ni la colita con trenza. Y el maquillaje parece como que ni se esforzo por eso tampoco asi que de todas, para mi es la peor de las peores vestidas. 

Erin Wasson by Alexandre Vaultier: What was she thinking when she decided to wear that dress, I don´t have a clue!. It´s like if she had nothing to wear and found some transparent fabric and put it on and go out. Horrible!. The turban, the pony tail and the fishtail braid was wrong too. And the make up, it´s like she didn´t put an effort either, so to me of all the worst dress was the worst of the worst.

Coco Rocha by Fausto Puglisi: La realidad es que amé su look, la chaqueta esta increíble pero tuve que ponerla entre las peores vestidas porque me parece que no era el outfit indicado para ese evento, un vestido hubiese sido mucho mejor. El peinado y el maquillaje estaban muy bien. Mantuvo tanto los ojos como la boca con colores neutros. 

Coco Rocha by Fausto Puglisi: The reality is that I loved her look, the jacket was amazing but I have to put her between the worst dressed because I think that wasn´t the right outfit for that event, a dress would have been so much better. The hair and the make up were right. She decided to kept her eyes and mouth in neutral colors.

Buenos Aires Fashion Week: Josephine, Andrea Urquizu, Marcelo Giacobbe, Trosman, A.Y. Not Dead.

Hola a todos!, hoy les traigo la primer parte del Buenos Aires Fashion Week. Les voy a mostrar las colecciones de Josephine, Andrea Urquizu, Marcelo Giacobbe, Trosman, Garza Lobos y A.Y. Not Dead.

Hello everyone!, Today I bring you the first part of the Buenos Aires Fashion Week. I'll show collections Josephine, Andrea Urquizu, Marcelo Giacobbe, Trosman and AY Not Dead.

Josephine:

Con la colaboración de Gaba Esquibel en la parte creativa, en la imagen y en el arte, ya no es más Josephine B, ahora es Josephine, y este año utilizarón de inspiración el arte de Stuart Semple.
Los generos que ultilizaron fueron el algodón, tencel, seda, cuero y encaje, gabardinas estampadas, lisas y metalizadas con diferentes tipos de lavadas.
Y los colores elegidos para esta temporada fueron el blanco y negro. Colorado, azul francia y verde militar. Amarillo y celeste. Plateado y dorado. Gris y natural melange.
Pueden encontrar Josephine en Av. Alvear 1883 Galería Promenade Local 15, Recoleta. Loyola 773, Palermo

Andrea Urquizu:

La colección de Andrea Urquizu esta inspirada en Mick y Bianca Jagger. Si bien son figuras icónicas de los años 70, la marcha quiere transmitir que tiene la misma actitud que estos dos icónos, interpretandolo desde el minimalismo y la sastreria. Al mismo tiempo que transmiten un estilo rockero también quieren transmitir una actitud sofisticada y desafiante.
Los generos que utilizaró fueron gabardina fría, gasa, satén, canvas y pima.Se utilizan textiles de algodón, de mano suave y de gran calidad.
Los colores elegidos para esta temporada fueron blanco y negro, ya que la marca utiliza estos dos únicos colores para todas sus colecciones.

Andrea Urquizu collection is inspired by Mick and Bianca Jagger. While they are iconic figures of the '70s, the brand wants to transmit they have the same attitude as these two icons, interpreting it from minimalism and tailoring. At the same time they want to transmit a rocker style but also with a sophisticated and challenging attitude.
The genres they used were raincoat cold, chiffon, satin, canvas and pima. Textile were used as well with soft hand and high quality cotton.
The colors chosen for this season were black and white, because the brand uses only these two colors for all of their collections.

Marcelo Giacobbe: 

La colección de Marcelo Giacobbe se inspiró en las nereiras de Lola Mora. La desnudez, fluidez y el nacimiento de Venus.
Los generos que utilizó fueron la organza de seda, cuero de oveja, sedas etéreas, tules, cristales y vidrios antiguos.
Los colores que utilizó fueron el natural, rosa empolvado, celeste cielo y negro.
Pueden encontrar a Marcelo Giacobbe pidiendo cita previa en su atelier. 

Marcelo Giacobbe's collection was inspired by Lola Mora´s Nereiras. Nudity, fluidity and the birth of Venus. 
The genres he used were silk organza, sheepskin, ethereal silks, tulle, crystals and antique glasses. 
The colors chosen for this season were natural, dusty pink, sky blue and black. 
You can find Marcelo Giacobbe asking in his studio by appointment.

Trosman: 

La Colección de Trosman de este año fue inspirada en el contraste de los materiales, la tipologia y las formas de uso. Haciendo foco en la silueta.
Los generos que Jesica Trosman utilizó para esta temporada fueron Sedas, linos y principalmente algodones.
Los colores elegidos para esta temporada fueron el rosa, naranja, blanco, negro y verde son los principales, con una presencia pequeña de rojo sucio, turquesa, celeste y dorado.
Pueden encontrar Trosman en Paseo Alcorta, Patio Bullrich, Recoleta Mall y Quilmes.

Trosman collection this year was inspired by the contrast of materials, tipology and forms of use. Focusing on silhouette. 
The genres that Jesica Trosman used for this season were silks, linens and cottons mainly. 
The colors chosen for this season were pink, orange, white, black and green are the main, with a small presence of dirty red, turquoise, blue and gold. 
You can find Trosman in Paseo Alcorta, Patio Bullrich, Recoleta Mall and Quilmes.

A.Y Not Dead:

Este año A.Y. Not dead uso como inspiración California, L.A., Big Sur, The Mistery Spot, París, Seventies, Skate, Surf, Rock. Inspiración Virgin Suicides, Brooke Shields, Jerry Hall, Margaux Hemingway Skaters de los Setentas, Playboy, pero todo en su versión rockera. 

Los materiales que utilizarón fueron las gasas, satén, sedas lavadas, crepes, lino, denim, voile de algodón, rayón viscosa, cuero, gasa de algodón, algodón pima, viscosa lino, gabardinas elastizadas, lycras brillosas y opacas, Punto Roma, Punto Milano y tejidos en hilo de algodón. 

Los colores elegidos para esta temporada fueron los colores shocking. Fucsia, orquídea, amarillo, rojo, rosa, verde y ocre. al igual que colores diurnos como el blanco, el celeste, el azul, crema, mostaza. Sus clásicos estampados rayados, animal print e incluso esta temporada incorporaron estampados de inspiración africana.

This year A.Y. Not dead use as inspiration California, LA, Big Sur, The Mystery Spot, Paris, Seventies, Skate, Surf, Rock. Inspiration Virgin Suicides, Brooke Shields, Jerry Hall, Margaux Hemingway Skaters of the Seventies, Playboy, but everything in rock version. 

The materials they used were gauze, satin, washed silks, crepes, linen, denim, cotton voile, viscose, leather, cotton gauze, pima cotton, viscose, linen, Stretch gabardine, shiny and opaque lycra, Rome Point, Point Milano and cotton yarn fabrics. 

The colors chosen for this season were shocking colors. Fuchsia, orchid, yellow, red, pink, green and ocher. like daytime colors like white, light blue, blue, cream, mustard. Their striped classic prints, animal print this season even incorporated African-inspired prints.

Brands I love N°1: Lithium Accesorios.

Hola a todos hoy en el primer "Brands I love", quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia comprando en Lithium Accesorios. 

La verdad es que yo no soy de comprar on line por el tema de que no me da confianza dar los datos de mi tarjeta de crédito pero hable con otras bloggers y me comentaron que no tuvieron problemas, asi que me decidí, me meti a la página, cree un usuario y empeze a comprar. Al otro día encontre un email de Lithium preguntando si habia podido realizar el pago, la verdad es que no habia podido porque no me tomo los datos de la tarjeta, le comenté mi problema a Sol, que fue quien se comunico conmigo y ella me ayudo a realizar mi compra exitosamente. Cancelo la primer compra que hice y realizamos una nueva. Rápidamente confirmo que la compra habia sido favorable y que a más tardar al otro día me iba a estar enviando el pedido por correo Argentino. La compra la realizé el jueves a la tarde, el sábado a la mañana ya tenia las cosas en mi casa. Asi que fue muy rápido todo y sin ningún tipo de problema.

Fashionista People That Inspires #2 : Kathy Stryzak de Cosas de Lady Diva.

Hoy les traigo una nueva blogger para que conozcan, Kathya Stryzak de Cosas de Lady Diva. En el blog de Kathy (como me gusta decirle) van a poder encontrar reseñas de todo tipo, pero para mi ella es una experta en el ambito de los "beauty products". 

Recuerdo que la primera vez que la conocí, nos tomamos un cafe en starbucks y después fuimos a farmacity y chusmeamos de todo un poco, y mi primera impresión sobre ella fue, no puede ser más encantadora, senti que realmente siente pasión por lo que hace, le gusta, lo disfruta, y si te puede dar una mano, no lo duda. Y (siendo muy nueva en esto de escribir sobre moda y belleza) pensé, estaria bueno encontrarte con más gente de este tipo, gente que empezó esto sin un objetivo claro, solo porque lo disfruta, y sin maldad.
Yo realmente creo que en este "ambito" hay lugar para todas, y Kathy es de esas personas que también cree lo mismo, como muchas otras bloggers que ya les ire presentando.

Si tienen alguna duda sobre que cremas funcionan y cuales es mejor dejarlas de lado, ó que make up realmente vale la pena comprar ó simplemente les gusta leer sobre belleza y aprender tips nuevos que seguramente apliquen a su vida diaria, el blog de Kathy (Cosas de Lady Diva) es el indicado.

Black XS: The excessive Sessions: Part I.

Hoy les quiero mostrar la primer parte de The Excessive Sessions. Esto se inicia el 2 de Julio, para promocionar el perfume de Paco Rabanne Black XS, como motivo de su nuevo eslogan Be a Rockstar.

La idea fue juntar a unas pocas personas en una terraza en Manhattan, para un show exclusivo, donde en este caso Scissor Sisters canto tres canciones: Only the horsers, Baby come home y el cover de Pink Floyd Comfortable Numb y aparte de esto dieron una entrevista.

Me parece que la idea esta buena, original y fue bien llevada a cabo.

Today I want to show you the first part of The excessive Sessions. This begins on July 2nd, to promote Black XS from Paco Rabanne, as a motive of his new slogan Be a Rockstar.

The idea was to gathered a few people, in a rooftop in Manhattan, to see an exclusive show, where, in this case, Scissors Sisters sang three songs: Only the horses, Baby come home and the cover of Pink Floyd´s song Comfortably Numb, they also gave an interview to made the Official Movie for the promotion of Black XS.
